After being postponed by blizzard and barely missing a second one, the SEAoNY Daytime Seminar, The Future of Building in New York City, got underway on the 40th Floor of WTC7 last week.
02.20.10: ATC-20_Set Procedures for Post-earthquake Safety Evaluation of Buildings
The Association of Haitian American Engineers of NY (ADIHA), in association with Engineers without Borders (EWB) and Applied Technology Council (ATC), are sponsoring a training session on Saturday, February 20, 2010 for post-earthquake building damage as well as bridge structure and pipeline assessments. We invite all Engineers, Architects, Construction Managers and studentsin these fields to attend the class.

January 15, 2010, NEW YORK, NY.
FIGMENT, one of Governors Island's
key cultural partners, has joined forces with The Emerging New York
Architects Committee (ENYA) of the American Institute of Architects New
York Chapter and the Structural Engineers Association of New York
(SEAoNY) to sponsor a competition to design and construct an
architectural pavilion for the 2010 summer season on Governors Island,
the City of Dreams Pavilion. The registration deadline is February 8, and
the deadline for entries is February 16.
