SEAoNY to Grow Relationship with New York Deparment of Buildings

The DOB has invited SEAoNY, along with the AIA, and ACEC, to be part of monthly roundtable sessions. These sessions provide a forum where the DOB can preview upcoming directives and receive industry feedback. In addition, this is an opportunity to bring our questions and concerns directly to them. Notes from these sessions will be posted in the News section of our website so you can see in detail what was discussed.

Planning within the DOB has started for work associated with the next Code release. Our reenergized Codes and Standards Committee is meeting monthly and will have an active role in this process. The committee is partitioned into existing building code and new building code teams. If you are interested in becoming part of this group, please contact Rob Otani, the committee chair, at ROtani@ThorntonTomasetti.com.
