There have been a tragic number of site accidents over the last few years. The current poor economic climate can encourage contractors and/or owners to short-cut site safety measures. Accidents also can increase during boom times when qualified site personnel or state-of-the-art equipment may be in short supply. What responsibilities do design professionals have with regard to site safety?
