SEAoNY relies on a strong membership to achieve its goal of an informed and active structural engineering New York community. The lectures, seminars, and workshops held by the organzation throughout the year allow members to expand their awareness of current projects, to maintain their knowledge innovations in the field and in design, and to develop ties with colleagues and other professionals.
Events are held approximately once per month, and with your help and interest, SEAoNY can grow further and become more comprehensive. The larger and more diverse the membership becomes, the greater SEAoNY's network of information and resources can serve its members.
Please take a moment to fill out a SEAoNY Membership Form and take special note of the "SEAoNY Committees" section. Both new members and current members alike are encouraged to take part in the development of SEAoNY, but most important is your participation and feedback at the many events. Please send your completed membership form to the SEAoNY office, or bring it to the next SEAoNY event!
SEAoNY members receive discounted admission to events and programs, and receive email correspondence about upcoming events. Event signup can be done quickly online, along with payment of registration fees and distribution of electronic receipts.
Personal accounts allow members to update their personal data at any time, improving the accuracy of SEAoNY's contact information. These accounts also track the Professional Development Hours (PDHs) that each member acquires, based on attendance at each event.
Our quarterly newsletter is distributed to the entire membership, which covers the most recent developments within SEAoNY and discusses numerous topics of structural interest.
Most of all, SEAoNY offers its members the valuable opportunity to meet with other structural engineers and discuss all facets of the discipline. It allows our more experienced members to share their knowledge and passion for structural engineering, and exposes all members to both innovative new methods and proper procedures for established ones. |
